Deck and fence cleaning
Bring back the color of your wood deck or fence by removing mildew, algae and weathered gray, without gouging the boards.
Gentle on wood
Wood is soft, and too much pressure leaves fuzzy, gouged boards. We use low pressure and the right cleaner for the material, then rinse thoroughly so the surface dries clean.
Planning to stain or seal?
Cleaning is the first step before staining or sealing, because finishes need a clean surface to soak in and last. Let the wood dry fully after cleaning before you apply anything.
Questions about deck and fence cleaning
Will cleaning remove the gray from my fence?
Cleaning removes dirt, mildew and much of the weathered gray. Very old, sun-damaged wood may stay lighter than new wood.
How long should the wood dry before staining?
Follow your stain maker's directions. Many recommend waiting at least a couple of dry days after cleaning.
Can you clean composite decking?
Yes. Composite boards get mildew and dirt too, and we clean them with low pressure to protect the surface.
